Where Should We Take Our Wounded Spirits?

As my life journey continues, finding the courage to share the stories behind my artwork is the NEXT RIGHT STEP FOR ME...

I began my life as a church girl, so how in the world did I end up homeless and having no place to belong???!!! I'm not the only one this has happened to, so let's dive into this topic and find the answers that are needed... for ALL of US.

Like the traveler in the story of the Good Samaritan, a safe haven for recovery is a great relief and an answer to prayer.

Facing the unknown territory of becoming homeless due to mental health issues landed me in the care of strangers, and was one of the most devastating life experiences one can imagine.

If you are part of the household of faith, have you ever pondered your role in helping people who are in urgent need of care?

Shelters, domestic violence centers, and prisons are filled with people who are being forced to answer this question for themselves and their families.

In America, when life falls apart and everything goes wrong... the question becomes:

Where Should We Take Our Wounded Spirits?"

A hospital? A church? The home of a kind stranger? Jail? Psych care? Short term? Long term? Soooo many questions!!!

Mental health crises require varying levels of care, so it's important that we consider our local AND national protocols for helping those in need of support.

I invite you to ponder this topic with me as I continue to share my thoughts with you about these important matters.

Questions like this one led me to the answers I was desperate for in the early days of my own recovery. My quest now, is to answer the questions I had in the days I was begging for answers to complicated questions.

This is just one chapter in the Lifetime Adventure of God's Word to Me, and I hope my stories will help you will find answers to questions about being afflicted with bipolar, PTSD, and DID recovery... from my point of view...
